1.Introduction to the competition


In order to continue to promote the new development of the "Belt and Road" empowered by the digital economy, build an international youth innovation and entrepreneurship exchange platform, promote international cooperation and people-to-people, economic and trade exchanges in vocational colleges, and explore an effective path for the cultivation of digital skills innovation and entrepreneurship talents, Vocational Education Commission of the Ministry of Education of Thailand, China National Ecommerce Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee, Development Council of "The Belt and Road" E-commerce Valley International Cooperation Project, The Confucius Institute at Chiang Mai University, Botok Tech. Co., Ltd. co-hosted the 4th Botok Cup International Vocational College Innovation and Entrepreneurship Invitational Competition in 2024.


Since 2021, the Botok Cup International Vocational College Innovation and Entrepreneurship Invitational Competition has been held for three consecutive years, attracting more than 600 colleges and universities from China, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and other countries to participate.

Under the full integration of the needs of industries, industries, enterprises and institutions, this year's invitational competition continues to enrich the new model of international education cooperation that integrates Chinese learning, digital skills training, employment internship and business incubation, aiming to improve the comprehensive quality of international young students' Chinese, e-commerce, Internet marketing and other industries that meet the needs of industries and international exchanges and cooperation in the era of digital economy, and help cultivate compound international talents with language proficiency, professional proficiency and strong ability.


2. Competition settings


This year's competition is divided into two categories: Digital Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and International Classroom Teaching Design Competition.

The Digital Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is aimed at students, aiming to improve students' digital skills and innovation and entrepreneurship ability through three competitions: visual merchandising, short video operation, and live broadcast.

The International Classroom Teaching Design Competition is aimed at teachers and aims to improve teachers' digital teaching ability through digital teaching platforms, methods and thinking.


3. Participants


(1) Digital Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

1. Students from Chinese and international universities.

2. Each team has 3-5 people, and no more than 3 teams from each institution.

3. Each team can have 2 instructors. Each instructor can coach a maximum of 2 teams.

4. Chinese and foreign students are encouraged to form international mixed teams. Each team has 3-5 people, and the team members must include at least 2 countries, and there can be 2 instructors. Instructions for the formation of international mixed teams are detailed in Part 9.


(2) International Classroom Teaching Design Competition

1. Teachers in Chinese and international universities.

2. Individuals are the participants.

6. Competition content


(1) Digital Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

 (1.1)Preliminary round


 (1.1.1) Contest content


With the goal of helping the development of the digital economy and promoting the integration of the digital economy and the real economy, the participating teams selected products in the product pool of the competition, and took the quality of the completion of three practical tasks: poster design, short video production, and live broadcast as the content of the competition.


Poster design

Based on the selected products and the publicity goals of the live broadcast, the participating teams need to complete the design of 1 bilingual promotional poster in Chinese, English, Thai or other national languages, and present it in the form of pictures and texts, as well as design the promotional content and advertising copy. The poster must be in vertical structure and be between 790*1150 and 1080*1920 in size.

The completed poster must be published through its own short video account, with a designated topic, and @ the official website account.


 Short video production

Based on the publicity goals of the selected products and the warm-up of the live broadcast, the participating teams need to complete the creative production of short videos, and display the key elements such as the use, effect, and characteristics of the products from multiple angles, in an all-round and scenario-based manner. Teams can create and publish multiple short videos, and select one short video to submit before the end of the preliminary round. The submitted short video should be no more than 3 minutes long, and the products displayed must be the same as those selected for the poster.

The completed short video must be published through its own short video account, with a designated topic, and @ the official website account.


Live broadcast

Based on the selected products, the participating teams complete the live broadcast. The participating teams will prepare their own live broadcast accounts, complete the listing of goods during the competition, and carry out multiple live broadcasts. During the period, the participating teams will receive guidance from corporate mentors and participate in relevant training, so as to continuously improve the team's comprehensive operation ability of live broadcast e-commerce.

Before the end of the preliminary round, teams can choose the playback/screen recording, live traffic data, and sales data of 3 high-quality live broadcasts to submit. The data related to the live broadcast must be 7 days after the end of the current live broadcast, and the submitted live broadcast playback/screen recording must be 10-15 minutes of highlights.


(1.1.2) Scoring criteria

Manually scored by the judges, the scoring rules are as follows:


Team score = 20% × poster design + 30% × short video production + 50% × live broadcast

(1.1.3) Preliminary round rewards

Based on the actual total number of participating teams, according to the principle of rounding, 50 first prizes will be set up and advanced to the finals, with 20% of the second prizes, 30% of the third prizes, and 50% of the excellence awards.


(1.1.4) Promotion description

The top 50 teams will advance to the finals based on their total scores.



(1.2) Finals


(1.2.1) Contest content

Based on the real operation in the preliminary stage, the participating teams complete the writing and submission of the operation review report, which is required to be in Word/PDF/PPT format, and conduct the operation statement and defense at the final site, including 8 minutes for the statement and 7 minutes for the defense, with a total of 15 minutes for each team.


 (1.2.2) Scoring criteria

Manually scored by the judges, the scoring rules are as follows:

Team score = 40% of the score × the production of the operation review report + 60% of the score × the on-site defense

 (1.2.3) Finals rewards

Based on the actual total number of participating teams and based on the principle of rounding, the first prize, second prize, third prize and excellence award will be set up, accounting for 10%, 20%, 30% and 40% respectively, and paper honorary certificates will be issued.

The first team in the final will receive a prize of 20,000 baht, the second and third teams in the final will receive a prize of 15,000 baht, and the fourth, fifth and sixth teams in the final will receive a prize of 10,000 baht.

 (1.2.4) Value-added services

Outstanding teams can sign a contract with the enterprise MCN to get continuous practice opportunities, and at the same time get in-depth school guidance and orientation training, carry out internship and employment docking with local e-commerce companies, and obtain live broadcast actual combat tracking, counseling and assistance, and live broadcast actual operation benefits.


(2) International Classroom Teaching Design Competition


(2.1) Contest content

Based on the background of international digital business talent training, the participating teachers complete the digital teaching design of a teaching module (at least 2 class hours) through the international smart education platform and other digital teaching methods and tools, and submit it through the official website of the competition.

The instructional design should be in PDF format, which must include: course name, teaching module name, teaching objectives, digital teaching method, implementation process, teaching reflection and other key elements, please refer to the reference template for details.

(2.3)Contest Rewards

Based on the actual total number of participating teachers, according to the principle of rounding, the first prize, second prize, third prize and excellence award will be set up, accounting for 10%, 20%, 30% and 40% respectively, and paper honorary certificates will be awarded.

The organizing committee of the competition will invite outstanding participating teachers to come to the finals to share their classroom teaching experience.

The first ranked teacher will receive 20,000 baht, the second and third ranked teachers will receive 15,000 baht, and the fourth, fifth, and sixth ranked teachers will receive 10,000 baht.


7. Description of the formation of the international mixed team


This year's competition encourages Chinese and foreign students to form international mixed teams. Contestants can choose their own familiar international cooperation institutions and partners to complete the team. In addition, the competition platform also provides an online matching function to facilitate more institutions to form international mixed teams:

1. Select the International Mixed Team when creating a team. Choose the party mode as self-team or platform matchmaking.

2. When forming a team by yourself, you can supplement international contestants, and the team must meet the team standards of 3-5 people per team, and the team composition must include at least 2 countries, and there can be 2 instructors.

3. When the platform is matched, you can query the contestants who also seek to form a team on the platform, and learn about the player's institution, name, expertise, self-introduction, contact information, email address and other information. The participating team can contact the player to confirm the intention of forming a team and complete the team. Players who choose to join the matchmaking mode can query the participating teams that recruit members, and can contact the team leader to confirm the intention of forming a team and complete the team.

4. When players register or log in to the competition platform, they can choose whether to join the international mixed team platform matching. Only players who have this mode enabled will be able to enter the mixed team pool.

5. If a team member quits or rejoins the team, the team leader needs to disband the team before re-forming the team.

6. After the registration period is over, the team cannot be disbanded.
